Tweedbank sports centre 

Established in 1902, Gala Harriers provide athletics for all age group and abilities where qualified coaches organise and deliver all sessions. The club organise their own races as well as local and national events, and has a thriving junior section. Gala compete mainly in road, hill and cross country running but do venture onto the track. Athletes from Gala Harriers have won District titles, National titles and competed in World events for Scotland.

Venues: Tweedbank Outdoor Sports Centre. Athletics training track and field facility with ample changing facilities and parking.

Monday 6.00pm Queens Centre, Galashiels, adults
Tuesday 6.30pm Queens Centre, Galashiels, adults, Tweedbank Sports Centre juniors
Thursday 6.15 for 6.30pm Tweedbank Sports Centre, adults and juniors

Tweed Leader Jed Track Athletics Club

Established: April 2009, TLJT provide athletics for all age groups and abilities, where qualified coaches organize and supervise all sessions. Although our main area of expertise lies with sprinting and middle distance, we have some athletes who participate in the jumps events and time is allocated accordingly.

Venues: Tweedbank Outdoor Sports Centre. Athletics track and field facility with ample changing facilities and parking.

Training times: 
Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5.45pm & Sunday at 10am at Tweedbank Sports Centre.
Tuesday, Thursday  at 6pm & Sunday at 10am at Woodend Football Park in Jedburgh.
Circuit training at the new Earlston High School will take part on a week night with times to be fixed.

Lauderdale Limpers Running Club

 Lauder Public Park

Formed in 1998 the “Limpers” as they are affectionately known have evolved into one of the largest running clubs in the area. The juniors (primary 3 to S1) concentrate on an introduction to all aspects of running, jumping and throwing using the junior Jogscotland resources, whilst the secondary groups focus on sprinting and cross country running. The senior groups are coached in endurance running which allows them to prepare for road, fell, hill and cross country running. The group is famous for their social runs and for the many events organized through the year which attracts runners from all over the area and beyond. All coaching sessions are designed to be inclusive for all abilities and new members are always welcome.

Kelso Crawlers Running Club

Kelso crawlers 

Kelso Crawlers running club welcomes runners of all abilities.  So even if you have never run before you are more than welcome to come along and join the group.  Now that the warmer lighter nights have arrived the Tuesday night runs are often run on routes out of the town.
There are also a series of Sunday runs which are being held on the last Sunday of each month.

Moorfoot Runners Athletics Club

 

 

Established in 2001, Moorfoots provide athletics for all age group and abilities. We have a junior section run by local athletes and qualified coaches Gregor and Linda Nicholson. The club organise their own races as well as local and national events. Moorfoot compete mainly in road, hill and cross country running with the juniors specialising in cross country and track running.
