Primary Coordinator Gemma Ross and secondary coordinator Marian O'Brien  are aiming to increase opportunities for children in the Earlston cluster to become more physically active and adopt healthier lifestyles.  Earlston High School has 8 filter primary schools: Channelkirk, Earlston, Gordon, Lauder, Melrose, Newtown, St Boswells and Westruther.

The girls not only want to create new opportunities for Earlston kids to be active through school clubs and holiday programmes, they also want to work with the local community to ensure pathways to local clubs and groups.

By recruiting volunteer teachers, parents and senior pupils, the coordinators are working to provide wide and varied physical activity opportunities, particularly focusing on hard to reach groups such as adolescent girls and low physical activity groups.
