CHILDREN STICK OUT AT SELKIRK PRIMARY HOCKEY FESTIVALS


Over 100 P6 and P7 children took part in the hockey festival at Selkirk Cricket Club on Tuesday 29th September.

Selkirk Hockey festival

 

All Selkirk primary schools took part, Knowepark, Philiphaugh, Lilliesleaf, St Joseph's, Ettrick, Yarrow and Kirkhope. Each team had 4 or 5 eight minute games, set up on 3 pitches. The games were umpired by the Community Sports Leaders from Selkirk High School, Lizzie Bunyan, Lauren Henderson and Heather Hotckiss.

There was a high standard of hockey being played and the children were having a great time playing games and mixing with children from other schools.
