National Secondary Schools Cup
Attached are details of the 2010 Cricket Scotland Secondary School cup, the final of which will be taking place on June 17th at Stirling County CC. Before then, however, there is the small matter of the Lothian & Borders Regional games and finals day.
Please circulate these details around your schools and get any interested team to contact Neil Cameron at neilcameron@cricketscotland.com so that they can be entered in the draw.
National State Secondary Schools Cup (S4-6)
This popular Twenty/20 tournament returns in 2010 aimed at a new age group and part of the cricket week in June (15th-17th) at Stirling County CC. A Borders Local Authority Schools team will travel compete in a 4-team tournament. The team will be selected (by the Scottish Borders Junior Cricket Development) from Borders Cricketers in S4-6, the emphasis will be on selecting those involved in cricket programmes in their schools but will also be made-up predominantly from those in S4-6 playing in our local leagues. Once selected Neil Cameron at neilcameron@cricketscotland.com will write to each of the players’ schools requesting time off.
Borders Secondary Schools Cup
Unfortunately the weather in 2009 defeated us and this event, started in 2006 had to be cancelled!
The 2010 version (format unchanged: 6-a-side softball for S1-3) will take place at Berwickshire High School on Friday 4th June from 10:00am.

Borders Secondary Schools Indoor Tournament
A first and a new competition for the Borders! On 26th March at 2pm Earlston High School will host our first Indoor 6-a-side (soft ball) tournament. Teams are invited from across the Borders Secondary schools – there are no age restrictions nor is there a restriction on the number of teams entering. If your school(s) can enter teams please let Neil Cameron at neilcameron@cricketscotland.com know as soon as possible – deadline for entries Friday 19th March.
