Active Schools Selkirk

Active Selkirk

Primary & Secondary Coordinator
Karen Cornwall

Karen Cornwall is working to create opportunities for young people at Selkirk High School and its 7 filter Primary Schools (Kirkhope, Yarrow, Ettrick, Philiphaugh, St Joseph’s, Knowepark and Lilliesleaf) to get active and adopt healthy lifestyles. They are looking to improve the links between schools and local community clubs and groups to provide opportunities for all children to participate in physical activity and sport, within school and the wider community. They aim to continue to build on their volunteer base to ensure the sustainability of their physical activity clubs, as well as continue to increase participation in “hard to reach groups”, such as inactive children and those with a disability.
