Developing Potential in the Scottish Borders

The Scottish Borders Sports Academy is now in its Ninth year and goes from strength to strength each year.  The event is designed to allow selected Border athletes to work intensively within specialised sport for three days, receiving the highest quality coaching available. Athletes are provided with the opportunity to work with top regional, and national coaches.
In addition, support areas such as nutrition and healthy lifestyle management are introduced to athletes, as they are becoming increasingly important factors in the performance of athletes.  As a result, it is hoped that the Academy will provide the basis and the platform for each athlete to aspire to his / her sporting ambitions, whether they are regional, national or international honours.

The programme offers a exceptional experience for developing coaches, who have demonstrated dedicated and passion within coaching throughout the region, to come into the Academy to assist high quality coaches and improve the standard of their coaching, though a coach mentoring programme.

Neil Renton is the current event Co-ordinator, contact Neil Renton if you have any other enquires regarding the Scottish Borders Sports Academy.
