The Under-15s was scheduled to take place at Clackmannan County CC, Gala CC, Grange CC and Penicuik CC with the final double-header show down at Fettes College. Unfortunately, torrential rain across Scotland on Wednesday night an Thursday morning washed-out both matches on Thursday.
However, the now seasonal (!) east coast weather could not dampen spirits or stop play in the other four matches, again often of a pulsating see-saw quality that kept coaching staff, spectators and players gnawing at their finger nails right down to the final ball.
Wednesday’s opening games saw Borders and Edinburgh North & East Lothian sweep aside Forth Valley and Pentland to, thanks to the weather, set-up a mouth watering finale on the Friday.
