Volunteering
Volunteers sit at the heart of the work of Active Schools. Without their support, the majority of Active Schools activities couldn't happen. We rely on a huge supporting network of people to make things happen. This support network is made up of a cross section of teachers, other school staff, parents, coaches, young people, club members and other volunteers.
Why do Active Schools need Volunteers?
Active Schools is a National drive that aims to get children more active. One of the targets of Active Schools is to offer all children and young people the opportunities and motivation to adopt active, healthy lifestyles. Active Schools aims to recruit and upport a network of volunteers as they are a major resource to the work of Active Schools and are vital to ensure activities are successful and sustainable. Without volunteers Active Schools can only provide limited opportunities to children and young people.
